Nevada requires smog inspections for many original vehicle registrations and for every annual renewal. When you receive your renewal notice, it will state if your vehicle needs testing. Your emissions test is valid for 90 days.

For the On Board Diangostics system to run all tests, your vehicle needs to be driven under varying conditions for up to one week with the replacement battery. Otherwise, it will be “Rejected.”
